Audentes Therapeutics Lands at Central Carolina Enterprise Park

Audentes Therapeutics, an Astellas company based in San Francisco, California, announced opening a new facility in Lee County. The life-sciences company purchased a shell building in Central Carolina Enterprise Park, promising to create 209 jobs and invest $109.4M in Sanford over five years. Audentes is focused on developing and commercializing innovative therapies, including a gene therapy portfolio targeting serious rare neuromuscular diseases. Governor Roy Cooper said, “Lee County is a perfect fit for Audentes as they seek to become a global leader in genetic medicines.”

MOSAIC at Chatham Park is Launched!

MOSAIC Celebrates Official Launch in Pittsboro, NCHundreds of community members, developers, investors and future business owners joined the MOSAIC Development Team in officially celebrating the construction launch of this 44-acre mixed-used development, serving as the gateway to Chatham Park, a 7,100-acre live-work-learn-play community in Pittsboro, NC.

Comments by Mayor Cindy Perry, Chatham County Board of Commissioners Chairman Mike Dasher, Chatham County Schools COO Chris Blice and State Rep. Robert Reives II focused on MOSAIC’s and Chatham Park’s positive economic impact.

Chatham Park Developers Bubba Rawl and Tim Smith as well as MOSAIC Developers Kirk Bradley and John Fugo shared their excitement about Pittsboro and Chatham County’s future as well as thanked their many partners. Four MOSAIC future tenants were also announced.

American Battlefield Trust Day on the Hill

the American Battlefield Trust Day on the HillKirk Bradley attended the American Battlefield Trust (ABT) Day on the Hill on March 5 – 6, 2019 in Washington, DC. He serves as an ABT Trustee. The ABT mission is to “preserve America’s hallowed battlegrounds and educate the public about what happened there and why it matters.”

Kirk heard Woody Williams—sharp as a tack at 95—speak about his service as a marine and his support of saving battlefields. Woody served as a flame thrower in the assault on Iwo Jima and saved countless lives with his heroism; he ultimately witnessed the flag raising on Mount Suribachi. Watch this video of Woody and others share their experience on ABT saved land.
